Cyclo Cross Oostende Tribute

Cyclocross meets art. Léon Spilliaert meets ArtNouvélo. Léon Spilliaert (1881-1946) was a belgian artist known for very dark and complex artworks, that today still appear as very modern. Here we turned his famous work Vertigo into an ode to cyclocross. The stairway to freightening heights becomes the scene of a cyclocross race. It's that time of the year and we love it in the Lowlands of Belgium and the Netherlands! (70cmx100cm)

Beach meets cyclocross. James Ensor meets ArtNouvélo. Art meets cycling.

The world championships of cyclocross will this winter take place in Oostende, Belgium. No better occasion to combine this international event with one of the city's most famous artists, James Ensor. Oostende brings us, boys from Brussels, some great childhood memories, as Oostende is the place we all would go to as kids when we would go to the seaside. The 120km distance opened up a new world of sandy beaches, dunes, go-carts, ice cream and sunshine (always rare and precious in Belgium). Here we combined Ensor's "Beach cabin" with our wintersport #1, cyclocross. (70mx100cm)
