What we do
in everything we do, the bicycle obviously has a central position. because the bicycle is more than an object or a means of transportation for us. it represents freedom, movement, effort, reward and sacrifice. Life. You got it, we do not just draw or write about it, we also enjoy riding it - with moderate ambitions. After all, life is like a bicycle tyre. You need a bit of pressure to move forward.

Pedal-powered paintings and illustrations
Painting is our core business - that might not come as a surprise. After all painting is as versatile as there are types of bicycles. We try to capture the mood, the sweat, and the scenery in vibrant colors. We haven't discovered yet how to paint as fast as sprinting down the Champs-Elysées, but that doesn't stop us from trying to keep a solid pace and regularly create new pieces.

wearing is caring - casual cycling wear
Why limit your love for cycling to just your bike or a painting on the wall? Our shirts and sweaters let you wear your passion off the bike. fashion as comfortable and sustainable as your favorite saddle.

Customized art fitted to your requirements
we are not just painting for ourselves and focusing on topics that only resonate with our own imagination. cycling is a constant alternation between the alter egos of the lonely rider and the social rider. if you have a project or an idea that we can support with our art, we'd love to hear it and be part of it!

Good cause and community
everybody gets only one life. but with this life you have the chance to mean something to others. with artnouvélo we do not want to just put ourselves in the picture, but we want to make sure that what we do, also benefits and supports others. we therefor hit the road as well for safety, helping others where we can, and -last but not least- we dedicate a substantial part of our art to the memory of riders who we lost along the way.

Stories on and off the bike
"wie schrijft die blijft" is a dutch proverb originally meaning that who takes good care of their accounting, will survive (as a business). We are no bookkeepers but we do love to write and read - hopefully our words and stories can trigger a few good vibes and last a little longer than click bait.
who we are
meet the tandem behind ArtNouvélo.

Bruno "The Brush" Vanobberghen
Bruno is not looking for fame and glory but for a frame and a good story. But one doesn't need to exclude the other! As Artnouvélo's house artist he blends cycling passion with vibrant colors to create art that’s as dynamic as a sprint finish. His secret? A love for both two wheels and starry nights.

Andreas "another Coffee?" De Boer
Andreas is known for his abstract approach to what happens on concrete roads. He redefines cycling into Haikus and the likes and never loses grip when ink is flowing freely. Andreas believes every ride tells a story – and he’s here to connect people, dots and coffee machines. Vélo doppio macchiato per favore!
